Who doesn't love a really good cup of coffee? Well we do, life is too short for bad coffee! So, in 2018, Alan began to investigate all things coffee - visiting the Glasgow Coffee Festival and attending a coffee roasting course in Winchester. Then, as a hobby, a small coffee roaster was bought for use in the utility room. The aroma of freshly roasting coffee was wonderful! As demand for the coffee grew beyond family and friends a larger coffee roaster was purchased and relocated to a log cabin in the garden. A website was born, and stockists acquired. Alan could be found selling his coffee at all the local farmers markets.
The name? Pepe was our pet dog. In 2018 he was rehomed from Spain and added a great deal of fun, joy and ball throwing! He was full of vitality, a real get up and go dog. All the things you associate with a good cup of coffee. “Morning dog” we would say every morning … and so the name was born.
From small beginnings in the log cabin in Aberdeenshire, Scotland we now have the capacity to grow and share the Morningdog brand with you. We are passionate about great tasting coffee. Our mission is to provide delicious, ethically sourced, sustainable coffee to all our customers.
